1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CompliPilot at https://complipilot.dev ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
CompliPilot provides automated compliance scanning tools that analyze websites for EU AI Act, GDPR, and related regulatory compliance indicators. The Service provides informational reports and recommendations.
3. Not Legal Advice
The Service provides automated compliance scanning and informational reports. It does not constitute legal advice. Scan results are indicative and should be reviewed by qualified legal professionals. We do not guarantee that following our recommendations will ensure full regulatory compliance.
4. User Accounts
You may create an account to access paid features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scan URLs without authorization from the website owner
- Use the Service to attack, disrupt, or exploit other systems
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the scanning algorithms
- Exceed your plan's scan limits through automated means
- Share API keys or resell access to the Service
- Submit malicious URLs designed to exploit our scanning infrastructure
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You can cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, code, algorithms, and branding related to the Service are our intellectual property. You retain ownership of any data you submit. We do not claim ownership of your scan results.
8. Data Processing
We process data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described therein.
9. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will provide reasonable notice for planned maintenance.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CompliPilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CompliPilot from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 3, 7, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state where we operate. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the website.
